Washroom Accessories

1. What kind of napkins and tampons will work in Bradley vendors?

The product must be in individual boxes to be properly dispensed by Bradley dispensers. Most popular brands will fit in our dispensers. Napkin boxes should be 3" x 4¼" x 1" or smaller. Tampons should be in cardboard tubes 5-1/8" long x ¾" diameter. Contact your local sanitary supply company (in the Yellow Pages under Janitor's Equipment & Supplies) or your cleaning/maintenance company to purchase these products.

2. If I ordered a recessed unit but do not have enough wall space available, how can I make the unit fit?

Most Bradley recessed units are available in recessed, semi-recessed, and surface mounted versions. A recessed unit can usually be converted to semi-recessed or surface mounted in the field by installing a 'collar'. Retrofit collar kits fill the space between the flange and the wall and are simple to install. When Bradley units are ordered as semi-recessed or surface mounted, the collars are welded to the body of the unit. If a change to these units is required, it is usually better to order the proper unit instead of trying to remove the welded collar. A list of collar kits is available in the Accessories price list.

3. How do I purchase Bradley Washroom Accessories?

Bradley sells exclusively through qualified distributors and subcontractors. Contact your local Bradley representative.

4. How do I refill the lavatory mounted type soap dispensers (6324 family)?

All Bradley lav mounted soap dispensers are refilled from the top, which makes servicing the dispenser much easier and minimizes the stress to the shank and bottle below the counter. A special wrench is provided with each dispenser which allows the top pump assembly to be unscrewed from the shank. The pump assembly (including the supply tube) is pulled out of the dispenser and set aside. The soap is then poured directly into the shank (hole) in the countertop (use a funnel). The pump assembly is replaced in the shank and tightened down with the wrench.

5. How should I care for and clean the stainless steel surfaces of Bradley Accessories?

Routine cleaning can be accomplished with soap, ammonia, or mild detergent and water applied with a sponge or soft cloth, rinsed with clear water and wiped dry. Occasional spot cleaning can be accomplished with a stainless steel cleaner or household cleanser and a soft cloth or Scotch Brite® pad. Take care to follow the grain of the stainless and rinse the cleaner off completely with clear water. Highly polished stainless steel surfaces scratch easily and may be scratched or dulled by cleaning. The use of harsh cleaners such as muriatic acid and bleach or chlorine containing compounds can permanently damage stainless steel surfaces. These chemicals must be immediately rinsed off the stainless steel with clear water to prevent pitting, discoloration or corrosion. Repeated exposure to these chemicals can cause the stainless steel to appear "rusty". This discoloration can be removed with cleaner and a Scotch Brite® pad. Proper maintenance of Stainless Steel finished will provide years of superior performance.

6. Can the valve and sight glass for the tank type (6542 and 6562) soap dispensers be replaced?

Both parts are easily replaced. Order part number P15-408 for the valve and P15-405 for the sight glass.

7. What type of paper towels will work in Bradley dispensers?

Our dispensers will fit most brands of folded towels. The technical data sheets indicate which type of towel will fit into each dispenser. Standard sizes for paper towels are as follows: C-fold: 10¼" wide x 3½" deep; Multi-fold: 9-1/8" wide x 3" deep; Single fold: 10" wide x 5¼" deep.

8. What type of soap should I use in my Bradley soap dispenser?

In general, most types of free-flowing liquid soap are compatible with Bradley soap dispenser valves. The two primary guidelines for compatible soap are: pH between 6.5 and 8.5 and viscosity (thickness) between 100 and 2500 cps. We recommend Champion Soap (by Champion Brand Products 1-800-344-5301). See our SOAP RECOMMENDATIONS AND DISPENSER MAINTENANCE document for more detailed information regarding soaps and soap dispensers.

9. Do screws come with Bradley grab bars? How do I order them?

Bradley grab bars and mirrors do not come with mounting hardware. Each type of wall construction requires a different mounting system, so Bradley allows you to choose the proper mounting system for your installation by offering separate grab bar and mirror mounting kits. The Technical Data Catalog and price list detail the different type of mounting kits available and the type of wall construction they are used with.
