Plastic Lockers Application Guidelines

Lenox™solid plastic lockers are Bradley's solution for broken, dented, rusted and vandalized lockers. Lenox™lockers are constructed of solid HDPE (high density polyethylene) plastic. Lenox™lockers are impervious to moisture, so they won't rust, delaminate, mildew or absorb odors. The color goes all the way through the material, so Lenox™ lockers never need painting and scratches can easily be repaired. Lenox™ lockers are highly impact resistant so the dents and broken doors that are so common with metal lockers are practically eliminated. Graffiti is also no match for Lenox™ lockers - it can be easily wiped away with ordinary cleaners.

Lenox™ lockers are fabricated with all-welded construction. The doors and frames are 1/2" thick and the box is 3/8" thick. The heavy-duty impact resistant material and construction make Lenox™lockers virtually indestructible. The doors are hinged to the frames with a full-length powder-coated stainless steel piano hinge. Since the frames, doors and boxes are welded together, there are no fasteners to loosen up or fail. The lockers are fully assembled in the factory, making installation as simple as attaching lockers to the wall and to each other.

The standard door lock is a stainless steel hasp (for a padlock), but key locks, built-in combination locks and coin-operated locks are also available. Lenox™ lockers are available in 28 colors. Standard height is 60" or 72" tall, and standard widths and depths are 12", 15" or 18". Sloped tops, end panels, locker benches and pedistal benches are also available. The combination of HDPE solid plastic material, all-welded construction, and almost limitless configurations make Lenox™lockers an excellent choice for almost any locker application.

Lenox™ lockers are more expensive than knock-down metal lockers. In applications prone to high humidity or vandalism, however, they actually save money in maintenance and replacement costs down the road. The material has withstood the test of time - HDPE has been performing in the marketplace for over 20 years and all Lenox™ lockers are covered by a 20 year warranty. The low maintenance and high aesthetic values of Lenox™ lockers make them an investment in the future. Following is a sampling of the type of applications best suited to Lenox™ lockers and some key considerations for specifying them.
