Toilet Partitions Application Guidelines

Mills® Partitions is a full line of toilet partition materials and styles. Dedicated to excellence in design and service, Mills® works to bring innovation to the marketplace. The Mills® line includes baked enameled steel, stainless steel, textured stainless steel, plastic laminate, solid phenolic and Bradmar solid plastic partitions. Mills® partitions are available in overhead braced, floor braced, ceiling hung and floor-to-ceiling styles. All hardware is heavy duty chrome plated or stainless steel. All Mills® door latches are ADA compliant. With almost limitless sizes available and 21 baked enamel colors, textured and satin stainless steel patterns, 19 stocked plastic laminate patterns, and 22 Bradmar colors, there is a Mills® product to match any partition application.

It is important to match the type and style of partition chosen with the washroom environment. Factors to consider when selecting partitions include vandal resistance, moisture resistance, maintenance requirements, budget constraints, color schemes, and construction details. Below is a breakdown of each type of partition (see the separate section for Bradmar solid plastic) and which type of application it is best suited to.

Baked Enameled Steel

Mills® baked enameled steel partitions are the best in the industry. Mills exclusive Permaseal two-piece interlocking panel construction is stronger and more moisture resistant than the conventional crown molding and corner cap style. The design locks facing metal sheets together so there is no opening for moisture to penetrate and cause corrosion. Mills® is the only manufacturer in the industry to offer a 15 year warranty against panel rust-out. Our hardware is heavy duty chrome plated zamac or cast stainless steel. Our new state-of-the-art paint line provides superior adhesion and durability. Baked enamel is the least expensive partition material, making it ideal for budget-conscious installations.

Stainless Steel/Textured Stainless Steel

Mills® stainless steel partitions are an excellent combination of the exclusive Permaseal panel construction and type 304 stainless steel. Available in either #4 satin finish or a SWL textured pattern, Mills® stainless steel partitions offer a durable, attractive, vandal resistant solution for many applications. Mills® uses chrome plated zamac or cast stainless steel hardware. Mills® is the only manufacturer to offer textured stainless steel partitions with the pattern on the entire panel (including the edges). Mills® is also able to offer a SWL textured stainless steel pattern that has NO SEAMS in the panels. Stainless steel partitions offer a high level of aesthetic value, while offering durability and corrosion resistance.

Plastic Laminate

Mills® plastic laminate partitions offer nearly limitless design possibilities at a budget-conscious price. Although 20 laminate colors and patterns are stocked at our factory, nearly any laminate material may be specified for Mills® plastic laminate partitions. All hardware is heavy duty chrome plated zamac or cast stainless steel. Mills® state-of-the-art production facility offers the highest quality fabrication available. High tech edge banding equipment allows Mills® to extend a three year warranty against delamination and discoloration of plastic laminate panels.

Solid Phenolic

Solid phenolic is constructed with resin-impregnated material compressed under high heat and pressure and covered by a decorative melamine face on both sides. The result is an extremely durable, impact and water resistant material. Phenolic is supplied with melamine surfaces, so it is offered in the same, almost limitless color and pattern selections that plastic laminate is. Unlike plastic laminate, however, the phenolic is a solid material, so there is no core material needed, thus eliminating the problem of delamination. This makes phenolic an ideal product for wet, humid applications. Phenolic is also highly impact resistant, making it a good choice for vandalism prone areas. All hardware is heavy-duty cast stainless steel.
